Animatrice : Arts & Publics
This introductory video game creation workshop invites students to discover all the stages involved in designing a game—from the initial idea to the full development of a playable prototype. Using digital tools suited to their level, they will be guided to invent a game world, imagine characters, design environments, integrate sounds, and program game mechanics.
By combining theory and practice, participants will learn how to develop a project independently and in a structured way. They will go through phases of brainstorming, visual research, sketching, and testing, all while developing their critical thinking, logic, and artistic sense. Experimentation will be at the heart of the process, allowing each student to bring their ideas to life.
Like a small development studio, students will collaborate, share ideas, and support one another as they explore the fundamentals of video games while expressing their creativity. The workshop can be tailored to a variety of themes such as narrative games, 2D pixel art, platformers, or interactive experiences, depending on students’ interests and profiles.
