School bus

GENERAL INFORMATION

Organigramme ASBL APEEE Services

No. The Transport Service, like the other services of the APEEE Services, is not managed by the school.

We work closely with the school but have separate management systems (database, enrolment system,...) - the information provided to the school may be important for the Transport Service.

Last update: 26/08/2022

You have two possibilities :

  1. Contact the Transport Service directly, indicating in your e-mail your address and the school site concerned by your request (EEB1 Uccle and/or EEB1 Berkendael). Our e-mail addresses are transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be (EEB1 Uccle) and transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be (EEB1 Berkendael)

  2. Request privileged access to our secure page of the bus routes.

The procedure to access the secure bus routes page is different from the one to access your account and your orders (via the "My account" button at the top right of this site).
You must create an account to access it via the "request privileged access" tab.

accès privilégié EN

You will then receive an automatic e-mail that will allow you to configure your password (you can obviously choose the same as for your account if you wish) in order to be able to reconnect to this page later.

We remind you that change are sometimes made to the routes and that the files on this information page are not updated every day. We therefore advise you to always double-check with the members of the Transport Service in parlicular if the last update date on the document is very far from the current date.

We also remind you that if you want to check the schedule at your stop, it is more convenient and reliable to go directly to your account to access to your personal Transport order.

Last update: 26/08/2022

There is no age limit for taking the bus.

From the moment that your child is inscribed at the European School in EEB1 Uccle or in EEB1 Berkendael, he/she can take the bus.

As a reminder, there is no appropriate seat in school bus for very young children.

Last update: 26/08/2022

As a reminder, APEEE Services-Transport organizes a COLLECTIVE transport and as a consequence, each bus stop is established taking into account all families using the same bus stop.

Any morning route cannot exceed one hour.

Last update: 26/08/2022

The EEB1 Uccle/Berkendael Transport Service buses also provide other services to other schools.

This is why we ask you, as far as possible, inform us by e-mail as fast as possible (transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Uccle and transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Berkendael) so that we can immediately inform the concerned bus company.

If you lose a mobile phone, please provide us with as much details as possible, such as your child's position on the bus, the brand of mobile phone, the color of the casing, etc.

If a mobile phone is returned, the student must enter his or her code to verify that the phone is indeed theirs.

Finally, with the exception of kindergarten and P1 children, items must be collected from the Transport Service office.

Last update: 26/08/2022

BUS CHANGE(S) REQUEST(S)

Pupils are only allowed to change lines punctually, regularly or permanently on the written request of their parents :

  • by means of a note in the pupil's diary and presented to the Transport Service office, which must stamp it for approval.

  • by sending an email followed by a positive response from the Transport Service.

These requests must be sent at least 48 hours in advance to the Transport Service. It will give its agreement within the limits of available places.

Last update: 26/08/2022

From the school year 2025/26 the afternoon stop will default to the one selected for the morning.

If you wish to choose a different stop for the afternoon you can send a request via the link above your stop selection. All requests will be analyzed by the Transport Service. You will receive confirmation if your request is accepted.

If there are any changes during the year (new students, moving house, etc.) the Transport Service reserves the right to cancel the registration of children who use the bus to get to the activity in order to free up places.

Last update: 14/05/2025

In order to avoid any problems, it is imperative to inform Transport Service of your future move at least 15 days before the effective date of your move.

This will allow Transport Service to ensure that a place is available on the bus that leaves your area, to inform the drivers and supervisors concerned and to modify/create a stop if necessary and as far as possible.

In case of moving, parents are asked to change their address in their family account on the registration website.

Last update: 26/08/2022

When registering, as you can choose the return for each day, you only need to choose the days when your child will have to go to the garderie and those when he/she will have to go home.

You can of course change this during the year, but only by e-mail (transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Uccle or transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be EEB1 Berkendael).

Last update: 26/08/2021

We ask you to inform us by e-mail: transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be (EEB1 Uccle) et transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be (EEB1 Berkendael) for each change in order to avoid any mistake.

The Transport Service does not have access to your child's agenda.

For kindergarten, P1 and P2 students, both supervisors of each bus is informed of the change in order to limit as possible any mistake.

Finally, in case of a change, your child is added in the correct bus to the application Together School so that you can follow the bus in real time.

Last update: 15/05/2025

PARENTS' CONTACT DETAILS

Transport Service must be able to contact you at any time, in particular to :

  • Inform you of a general problem (delay, change, cancelled bus, incident, etc.)
  • Warn you about your child (missed bus, etc.)

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, an SMS is sent to all parents concerned, as well as a notification via the application Together School.

Last update: 14/05/2025

Due to the DGPR,  the Transport Service can not modify your personal data (address, telephone numbers, etc.) without your consent.

For this reason, The Transport Service invites all parents to check their details regularly and keep them up to date.

In the event of a change to your order by a member of our team,  The Transport Service will send you an e-mail asking for your permission to modify your personal details.

FEES

There are two types of season tickets:

  1. Full price for children who take a bus home in the morning and/or evening
  2. The half price pass for children who ONLY take the bus to an OIB nursery.

Last update: 26/08/2022

The cost of a tour is largely related to fixed costs that are independent of the number of children actually on the bus: cost of the driver, energy, maintenance, supervisors (pupils and/or adults), permanent service staff.

The only variable really related to the number of children is the capacity of the bus.

Nevertheless, even if a child theoretically takes the bus only a few times a week, the Transport Service must provide a bus of sufficient capacity to accommodate all the children registered for that round at any one time.

Last update : 26/08/2022

The subscription price for the school year 2024/25 is 2.820,00€*, to be paid in 3 instalments :

  • 1.135,00€ for the 1st term (567,5€ garderie only**)

  • 1.008,00€ for the 2nd term (504€ garderie only**)

  • 677,00€ for the 3rd term (338,5€ garderie only**)

Of course, when you register the price is calculated on a pro-rata basis for the current term.

Please note that if your child has stopped taking the bus/never took the bus, you will be charged for Transport Service until the date of receipt of the cancellation email.

* The amount of the subscription for the school year is set on the basis of the budget approved by the GA of the previous year. This amount is subject to quarterly review on the basis of actual results calculated during the year.

** Only children taking the bus ONLY to an OIB nursery (Wilson, Cole, Van Maerlant, Berkendael) benefit from the 50% discount.

Last update: 29/08/2024

We do not have family discount.

Each child uses one place in the bus and must therefore pay the whole transport fee.

If your children use the bus only for going to an OIB garderie, than they will have to pay each one 50% of the transport fee.

Last update: 26/08/2021

In case of shared custody, your child must have an order for "bus maman" and an order for "bus papa" but there is no extra fee.

Pay attention, if your child is in shared custody but takes only one bus, you do not have to indicate "shared custody".

Last update: 26/08/2021

With some exceptions, all nursery school children must pay for their subscription.

For primary and secondary school children, it depends on your employer. If you are an EU official and your child is in primary or secondary school, the cost of transport is covered by your employer.

Ask your HR department if you are unsure.

Last update: 26/08/2022

When you change of employer, you must inform the Transport Service as soon as possible by e-mail (transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Uccle or transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Berkendael).

The Transport Service will then ask you to change your data on your personal account and the Transport Service will make the change on your child's order.

If the change of employer is done before the school year, you must first change your data on your personal account and then change your employer on your child's order.

Last update: 26/08/2022

As the beginning of the school year is a very busy time for Transport Service, your order for the first term will be put "pending for payment" during the first two weeks of September.

You then have a fortnight to pay for the bus for the first term.

For the 2nd and 3rd term, payment requests are sent at the beginning of each term.

Please note that if your child has stopped taking the bus/never taken the bus, you will be charged for the Transport Service until the date of receipt of the cancellation e-mail.

Last update: 26/08/2022

A 1st reminder will be sent to you 15 days after the request for payment and a "2nd and final reminder" will be sent to you 15 days later.

Without payment for your child's transportation within 15 days of receiving the "2nd and final reminder", Transport Service reserves the right to refuse your child transportation until full payment is received.

Last update: 26/08/2022

If you are a contract agent, temporary agent, official at the Commission or EEAS and your child(ren) attend the European primary or secondary school, you must submit a declaration of schooling for your child(ren) via SYSPER each year at the beginning of the school year in order to be eligible for the Commission/EAS transport pass.

Any change of institution and/or status must be communicated to Transport Service as soon as possible.

Last update: 26/08/2022

Parents can register throughout the school year.

Please note, however, that the bus routes are adapted each year during the summer holidays (July and August) and it is sometimes impossible to bring a stop closer to a parent who has registered later.
Furthermore, the Transport Service reserves the right to refuse an application if the bus chosen by the parents is full.

For payment, the subscription price is then calculated on a pro rata basis of the days remaining in the current term.

Last update: 26/08/2022

It is possible to cancel a subscription at any time but the cancellation is only taken into account on the date of receipt of the cancellation e-mail.

Consequently, if you have registered your child but have decided that he/she will not be taking the bus, the subscription will remain due until you receive the cancellation e-mail.

This e-mail should be sent to transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Uccle and transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Berkendael

Last update: 26/08/2022

No, apart from "gaderie uniquempent" fee, there is only one fee (the full one).

If your child has to take exceptionally the bus on Wednesday afternoon, there must be enough place in the bus to allow him/her to come back home.

Last update: 26/08/2022

No, apart from "gaderie uniquempent" fee, there is only one fee (the full one).

If your child has to take exceptionally the bus in the morning, there must be enough place in the bus to allow him/her to come to school.

Last update: 26/08/2022

If your child is not inscribed at the Transport Service, he/she can exceptionally take the bus: for so doing, you must ask the possibility 48 hours before to the Transport Service by e-mail (transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Uccle and transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Berkendael) and the Transport Service will analyze the possibility to add a student (number of places, bus stop,...)

Once you have received a positive answer, you have 2 possibilities :

  1. You can make a bank transfer of 8€ per journey (16€ for a round trip) on the Transport's bank account (BE77 3100 8642 2642). You must indicate in "note" : name + surname of your child, bus number + date of use.
  2. Your child can pay in cash at the Service Transport office.

Except exceptional situation, you can only buy 2 tickets each month.

PROBLEM MANAGEMENT

In case of delay, you can reach the Transport Service on the general number : 02/374.70.46, press "1" to reach Uccle and "2" to reach Berkendael.

The Transport Service is available every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and on Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In the event of a major delay, the Transport Service sends a SMS and a notification via the application Together School to all parents of the bus in question.

You can also follow your child's bus in real time thanks to the application Together School.

Last update: 14/05/2025

If it is the morning journey, the pupil must come to school by himself.

If it is the afternoon journey the Transport Service will call the parents of the child in question to collect him/her from the Transport Office within a reasonable time.

Last update: 15/05/2025

If the bus is cancelled at the last minute by the Service Transport you can take a taxi (or other means of transport) if you are unable to take your children to school. You can then send the receipt to Service Transport for reimbursement. Please note that we mean ONLY routes : home to school

Last update: 15/05/2025

The supervisor calls the Transport Service which in turn tries to contact the parents.

If the Transport Service is unable to contact the parents, the child remains on the bus. An e-mail/sms is then sent to the parents by the Transport Service.  The child will then be taken back to school where the parents must collect him/her.

If the Transport Service is able to contact the parents, a meeting point is set with them.

If the parents wish another adult to pick up their child, the request will only be accepted after receipt of an authorization e-mail. Without this e-mail, even if the person is present at the stop, the child can not be handed over.

Last update: 15/05/2025

ENROLMENTS

In order to enter your personal account, you must use the e-mail address you used for your inscription.

If you do not remember it, you can send a e-mail to the Transport Service (transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Uccle or transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Berkendael) and we will send you the correct e-mail address.

On the contrary if you do not remember your password, you can reset it by clicking on "Reset your password":

You will then have to introduce your e-mail address and you will receive an e-mail explaning how to reset your password.

Last update: 26/08/2022

Registration is done via the APEEE Services website during the whole school year.

The inscription to the Transport Service will be open on June 10th via the inscription's website.

For new parents, it is advisable to register their children as soon as possible, especially if there is no stop near their home. In this way, Transport Service can analyze the possibility of creating a new stop according to the new registrations and integrating it into the routes for the following school year. If the enrolment and the request for a stop arrive later in the year, it is sometimes more difficult to integrate the new stop into the tour.
At the end of each school year, children registered for transport are systematically re-registered for the following school year. Parents then receive an e-mail asking them to validate or not their personal data and their child's order.

Please note that after the start of the school year, the Transport Service does no longer create new stops. Consequently if you register later in the school year you will have to choose an existing stop and submit a stop request when you renew your orders for the following school year.

Last update: 15/05/2025

"Date of service" is the first day when you want your child to start taking the school bus, usually the first day of the school year, except for a later inscription.

Of course, you can indicate the first day of the school year as the date of service and decide that your child will really start taking the bus later, i.e, the time he/she gets used to the school.

In that case, you can announce your child's absence via the application Together School for one or several days or inform the Transport Service by e-mail l (transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Uccle and transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Berkendael). The Transport Service will then inform your child's bus supervisor.

Last update: 26/08/2022

Unless the Transport Service sends a message to the contrary, your child can start using the bus from the first day of use indicated at the time of registration.

Last update: 26/08/2022

In order to confirm an order, you must go on your personal account and choose the school year 2024/25 to check your order(s):

Then, you need to click on "consult" on the order you need to confirm:

Once you have consulted and changed if needed your child's order, you have to click on "confirm the order"

Last update: 26/08/2022

From the 2025/26 school year the afternoon stop will be by default the bus stop selected for the morning. If you wish to choose a different stop in the afternoon you can send a request via the link above your stop selection. All requests will be analyzed by the Transport Service. You will receive confirmation if you request has been accepted.

*The link in question :

Last update: 15/05/2025

If you request to create a stop has been refused you can repeat your request by e-mail (transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Uccle and transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Berkendael) by October 1st at the latest. Your request will then be examined by the Management Committee. The final decision will then be taken by our administrators.

Last update: 15/05/2025

To allow your child to take a bus to go to mum's and a bus to dad's, it is imperative that :

  • shared custody must be ticked "yes" on your child's form.

  • create a "mum" profile and another "dad" profile

Once this is done, you can create an order for each parent.
Please note that you must choose the parent concerned by the order each time.
Last update: 26/08/2022

In the case of shared custody, your child is inscribed in two buses, "bus maman" and "bus papa".

The Transport Service does not supervise shared custodies but of course, you can orally inform the supervisor of your child's bus of his schedule.

Each parent with the application Together School has the bus for coming at home on the application and can therefore announce his/her absence during the week to the other parent.

Last update: 26/08/2022

A few days before the starting of the shcool year, your child's order will be changed in "treated" and will then have all the updated information (timetable/bus stop/bus number).

It is highly important that you check your child's order even if he/she was taking the bus the previous school year. Indeed, bus routes are adjusted according to the new inscriptions and there may be some change.

Last update: 26/08/2022

The Transport Service systematically refuses permission to get off the bus alone for children in kindergarten and P1 and systematically gives permission to get off the bus alone from S2.
Parents can therefore give/refuse permission to get off the bus alone from P2 to S1.
Parents can also give permission to a child of age to get off and not to a younger child. In this case, the younger child can get off with his/her older brother/sister, but if he/she is on his/her own, an adult will have to come and pick him/her up at the stop.

Last update: 26/08/2022

As a reminder, when you save your order for the following school year, you only save your bus stop.

Indeed, both bus number and timetables may change from one school year to another according to the new inscriptions.

If you want your child to take the same bus than the one of his friend(s), you can of course do so but, pay attention, it must be the same bus morning and afternoon.

Last update: 26/08/2022

Each year, registrations are renewed for the following year.

You must then check your details and validate them for your order to be taken into account.

If you have not validated your order once you have received the e-mail asking you to validate your data, your order is put on "pending for validation".
You will receive a reminder e-mail asking you to connect to your account and check your data.
If you are unable to do so, you can either send an e-mail (transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Uccle or transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be for EEB1 Berkendael) or call the Transport Service on 02/374.70.46 (type "1" for EEB1 Uccle and "2" for EEB1 Berkendael).

Last update: 26/08/2022

When you create an order, it is automatically put in "pending processing".

This is also the case when you have checked your order as "pending for validation".

The Transport Service then checks your order and changes its status to the next step.
Last update: 26/08/2022

Once the Transport Service has checked your order, it is "in process".
During the summer holidays, orders remain "in process" until the day before the start of the school year when the timetables and bus numbers are updated.

It is therefore imperative that all parents check their order(s) the day before the start of the school year to ensure that the bus stop, bus number and timetable are correct.
Last update: 26/08/2022

The day before the start of the school year, when the timetables of the lines and the bus numbers are updated, the Transport Service places all the orders in "processed". This means that your child(ren) can start using the bus service.

It is therefore imperative that all parents check their order(s) the day before the start of the school year to ensure that the bus stop, bus number and timetable are correct.

Last update: 04/10/2022

For parents whose employer does not pay for their bus pass, a request for payment will be sent to them at the beginning of each term.

Please note that children in this case can take the bus as soon as the school year starts even if the payment request has not yet been sent by the service or the service has not yet been paid.
Last update: 04/10/2022

Once the payment for the term has been made, your child's order has been "accepted" and this means that everything is in order for the current term.
Last update: 26/08/2022

SCHOLAR EXCHANGE

If your child is in exchange, you do not have to delete his/her order.

You just need to indicate in "comment" that he/she is leaving for an exchange and indicate his/her date of return.

Then, in "date of service", you need to indicate the first day when he/she will use the bus.

Last update: 26/08/2022

If you host a child in exchange, you need to "create" him/her in your personal account as if it was your own child.

In concrete term, it means that you have to create a profile indicating "yes" in the field "exchange" and indicating the beginning and the end of the exchange:

The order will be automatically deleted after the date of end of exchange.

You will be automatically indicated as paying parent.

You will therefore see with the pupil's family for the payment. His/Her parents will have to see with their employer to be repayment.

Last update: 26/08/2022

SUPERVISION

For the school year 2025/26, there will have an adult supervisor both in Uccle's and Berkendael's site.

Please note that it is sometimes difficult to replace a supervisor especially if she/he is absent in the morning. If the bus should run without a supervisor, parents would be informed via the application Together School.

Last update: 15/05/2025

Supervisors use their private telephone, therefore the Transport Service will not give out their telephone number under any circumstances. The same applies to drivers.

In case of questions, problems or changes, parents should always contact the Transport Service :

The Transport Service office is open from Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5.30 pm, except on Wednesdays when it is open until 2 pm.

Last update: 26/08/2022

In general, it is a good idea to always inform the Transport Service to avoid problems.

However, if your child is in secondary school, it is not obligatory to inform the Transport Service unless your child is the only child at that stop.
On the other hand, for the youngest children in primary and nursery school, it is imperative to inform : their teacher (via e-mail or the diary), the Transport Service and other services if relevant (OIB, extra-curricular activities, etc.).

We also ask parents to always write in FR or EN in their child's diary as in case of doubt the Transport Service may have to check the diary and our staff may not speak the other languages of the school.

You can also inform of your child's absence (for one day, coming to school or coming back home or for several days) via the application Together School.

Of course, once you have informed of an absence, you are not able to follow the bus  for this day or way.
Last update: 26/08/2022

Of course, you can always inform the supervisor of your child's bus verbally, but you must also send an e-mail to the Transport Service.
This way, if the supervisor is absent, the substitute will also be informed.

Last update: 26/08/2022

In the morning, kindergarten and P1 pupils are welcomed when they leave the bus by kindergarten and primary assistant. They then bring them to their classes.

In the afternoon, kindergarten and P1 pupils are escorted to their buses by their teacher or the assistant.

During all September, P2-P3-P4 and P5 pupils are welcomed in the morning and escorted in the afternoon by their teacher or an assistant.

Last update: 26/08/2022

In a same bus, kindergarten, primary and secondary pupils are together.

However, in the bus, kindergarten and primary pupils sit in the front of the bus and secondary pupils at the back. Indeed, their talk subjects are different.

Last update: 26/08/2022

BUS USE

In order to ride the bus, your child must have an order at the Transport Service in his/her name registered with the Transport Service.

Once your order has been set to "treated" or "pending payment" your child can begin using the service. If your child arrives during the school year, we also recommend that you send an e-mail to transport@apeee-bxl1-services.be EEB1 Uccle or transport.berkendael@apeee-bxl1-services.be EEB1 Berkendael to inform our service of the actual date of commencement of use. This is so that we can inform the team on board and thus avoid mistakes.

Last update: 04/10/2022

No adults other than the driver and the adult supervisor are allowed on the bus.
Nevertheless, the Transport Service can derogate from this rule in 2 cases:

  • Either the parent is accompanying a school outing and in this case, he/she can take the bus free of charge. Please note that the request must be made at least 2 days beforehand in order to check the available space on the bus.

  • Or the parent is a teacher and must take the bus for an exceptional reason (car breakdown,...). In this case, the parent must buy a ticket (8€/journey).

In both cases, aparent can only take the bus with the written authorization of the Transport Service.

Last update: 26/06/2023

Only children enrolled in the OIB nursery can take the bus to the nursery.

However, there are usually stops close to the garderies for interested parents.
Last update: 26/08/2022

It is requested to be at the stop at least 5 minutes before the official time. This is because the time communicated is the time at which the bus must leave its stop in order to respect its timing and the schedule at subsequent stops (subject to normal traffic flow).

By being present at the stop in advance, users can board the bus with peace of mind when it arrives and allow a smoother journey for all users of the line.

We would also like to remind you that the timetables at the beginning of the year (especially for new routes) are purely theoretical and must therefore be adapted to the traffic.
It is therefore possible that the timetable of your bus will be adapted during the year.

For Uccle this concerns children in nursery, P1 and P2:

  • Children from nursery, P1/P2 going to an OIB nursery have a bus departure at 12.35. Kindergarten's teachers take the children to the bus. Pupils from P1 and P2 must wait until the covered playground where their bus supervisor will bring them to their buses.

  • For children from nursery P1/P2 who are not inscribed at a garderie OIB the Transport Service has created some drop points on the route to the OIB garderies.

  • Kindergarten, P1/P2 children going home have a departure as usual at 4pm. However, in this case, the children must be registered at the Césame garderie (garderie@apeee-bxl1-services.be). The children are then taken to the bus by the Césame childminders.

For Berkendael, this concerns kindergarten children:

  • Kindergarten children at an OIB daycare centre leave at 12:35. In this case, the teachers take the children to the bus.

  • Kindergarten children going home have a departure as usual at 15.15. But in this case, the children must be registered:

    • Either at the OIB Berkendael nursery - if so, a member of staff will collect your child from the nursery and take him/her to the bus ! The transport service sends a form to parents in this case every week to check whether or not the child should be picked up. If there is no response from the parent to each form sent, the children will remain at the garderie OIB where the parents will have to collect them.

    • Either at the ACTIVE garderie or an extra-curricular activity. The children are then taken to the buses by the ACTIVE/ Extracurricular activities staff.

For the conditions of enrolment in the OIB after-school care centres and/or the extracurricular activities (Uccle and Berkendael), please contact the relevant departments directly.

SNOW/EXTRA SNOW ROUTES

The snow and extra-snow tours are published every year at the end of November or beginning of December.

Once snow/ extra snow routes are created they are downloaded on the APEEE's website and you just need to click on "Bus routes ?" and on "Liste circuit neige" :

SNOW CIRCUIT

Transport triggers the snow circuits when there is light snowfall. In order to avoid any problems and to be able to run safely, some buses (very few) have their route modified.
The decision is taken by the Transport Manager, the day before at 6pm and the information is put online on the APEEE Services information website. This alternative route will then be automatically applied in the morning AND in the afternoon even if the snowfall was less than expected.

EXTRA SNOW CIRCUIT

Transport triggers the extra-snow routes when there is heavy snowfall and/or ice, making the roads really dangerous. In this case, all buses are restricted to the main roads.
The decision is taken by the Transport Manager, the day before at 6 pm and the information is put on the APEEE Services information website. This alternative route will then be automatically applied in the morning AND in the afternoon even if the conditions are less extreme than expected.

The snow/extra snow routes are published mid-November on the APEEE Services website.)

In order to avoid any clogging of the site on the day, the Transport Service asks you to consult the snow/extra snow routes of your child(ren)'s bus and to print it in advance. This way, you will always have it at hand in case of need.
Last update: 26/08/2022

In order not to clog the Transport phone line, parents are asked not to call for information, except in case of emergency. Just check the APEEE Services website the day before after 6pm. If the circuits are activated a newsflash will inform you as soon as you arrive on the website.
Last update: 26/08/2022

From the moment that the Transport company has activated the snow/extra snow circuits, they are active for 24 hours, regardless of the weather the following day.
It is possible that there is no snow in the north of Brussels, but that there is a lot in the south.
The situation is reviewed by the transport manager every 24 hours.

When the situation becomes too dangerous, the 4 Transport managers of the European Schools consult each other and decide collectively whether to drive or not.
The message is then immediately published on the APEEE Services website.

TOGETHER SCHOOL - PARENT APP

With Together School application, you can :

  • Receive notifications from the transport service.
  • Notify your child's absence.
  • Check your child's order data
  • Follow your child's bus during the route.

Last update: 26/08/2022

This is most likely the case when you use a phone number that is not in the APEEE Services system. You can only log in if the number is known by the system so if you cannot connect, please check with the Transport Service, or update your number in your account.

Last update: 26/10/2023

If your phone number changes, you should update it in your APEEE Services account. Please make sure you enter it in the international format (starting with + country code). This information will then be synchronized overnight, and the next day you can log in, using your new phone number (in international format). You will have to go through setting your password, but you will be able to use the same one you used before.

There are two main reasons for this.

1) You will only see the bus listed in your child's official order for the day in question. Therefore, in the event of an exceptional change you will not be able to follow the bus only if you have introduced your request on time.

2) The supervisor has not started the application Together School. This should be exceptional, but if you notice a recurring problem, you can contact the Transport Service to find out more.

The bus geolocation is updated regularly, but at times there may be some delays. The device being used on the bus has likely lost coverage and the application Together School is showing the last known location of the bus.  As soon as it reconnects, the location will be updated.

Last update: 26/10/2023

The geolocation of the bus is usually very accurate but for various reasons, such as delays in the transfer of information from the phone to the system due to network issues, it should not be expected that it is fully accurate at all times. You should always be at the bus stop 5 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.

Last update: 26/10/2023

No, only parents with children scheduled to be on that bus will be able to see its location in real time.

Last update: 26/10/2023

Absence notification in the application Together School is only used to report absences on the bus. We recommend that you report absences on the bus so that we can provide an efficient service, and that you do not wait for students who are absent. Notification of absence concerns the bus only. If your child is absent for daycare or school, please continue to follow their procedures.

Last update: 26/10/2023

Unfortunately, you cannot create your child a profile because Together School application only takes into account "mother' and "father" profiles.

However, you can give him/her your connection data (mobile phone number + e-mail address) and then, your child will be able to connect himself/herself as a parent.

Please note that although the application allows you to follow the bus in real time we ask you to be at the stop 5 minutes before the official time. Geolocation is not accurate to within a metre.
