ORGANIZATION
This daycare is organized by Cesame, one of the services managed by APEEE Services, just like extracurricular activities, the canteen, and transport. Therefore, the after-school services (AP) are not managed by the school.
The Cesame Daycare is thus a completely separate service from the OIB daycare.
Since classes end at 11:30 a.m. on Fridays for Nursery, P1 and P2, our service offers the possibility for Nursery–P1–P2 children to take the 4:00 p.m. bus.
Children registered with the OIB will not be taken to the 4:00 p.m. bus.
Nursery: After lunch, the children are taken by their teachers to the multipurpose room in the Fabiola building, where the Cesame daycare supervisors wait for them at 12:30 p.m. They then join their daycare classrooms.
P1/P2: After lunch, the children are taken by their teachers to the P1/P2 playground in the Erasme building. Between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m., they are supervised by school teachers.
From 1:00 p.m. onwards, the children are under the responsibility of the Cesame supervisors.
The supervisors speak or are able to communicate in English, French, Spanish, or Italian.
We select our supervisors based on their skills in managing and leading groups of children from Nursery to Primary.
Most of the supervisors also work for the extracurricular service, which allows them to know many of the children well and to reinforce their discipline skills
The child is sent directly to the infirmary, where the school doctors will decide whether the child can stay or needs to be picked up.
