TERMS & CONDITIONS
The APEEE Services - Lockers is a service provided by and for APEEE member families.
By requesting the registration of your child to this service, you commit yourself to become a member of the APEEE, to pay the annual subscription of the APEEE, and to read and respect the rules of the Locker Service.
Any registration to this service implies acceptance of the rules and regulations. The failure of paying the APEEE membership fee, in accordance with the decision taken at the APEEE General Assembly on December 7th, 2010, will result in the cancellation of the service registration.
By placing an order with our service, you are deemed to have accepted our rules and the general conditions of the association.
As stated in our general conditions, the management of the ASBL and/or the Board of Directors reserves the right to temporarily exclude any member/parent whose conduct is inappropriate towards the staff of the ASBL and/or any member of the management committees and/or the Board of Directors and/or the staff of the service provider.
Physical, verbal or written violence (threats, insults, defamation, humiliation, etc.) may be punished by exclusion from services. Such exclusion will be decided by the Board of Directors and may be revoked if the member/parent concerned shows clear signs of improvement in his/her conduct.
Article 1: Registration and delivery of keys
Depending on the situation:
- New order: If you are a secondary school pupil and would like to have a locker, you need to create an order on the Services registration site.
As soon as a locker is available, you'll receive a message requesting payment. Once payment has been finalized (order status “accepted” on your parent account), we assign a locker to your child. Allocations are random. Students cannot choose the location of their locker.
There are two different ways of giving the key to a student:
a) Pupils entering secondary 1: keys are distributed to classrooms on the 1st day of school (if the status is accepted at least the day before the start of the school year). Otherwise, students must go to the locker office (Prévert building - 1st floor) to collect their key.
b) Secondary 2 to 7 students: students must go to the locker office (Prévert building - 1st floor) to pick up their key.
2. Renewal (automatic renewal) : For students who already have a locker, automatic renewal takes place annually and must be validated (on the site) by parents during the month of June.
3. Family locker: this option is reserved exclusively for children from the same family, with a maximum of 2 students per locker. Each student will receive his or her own key, and it will be possible to revert to individual use of the locker when one of them leaves the school or simply gives up its use.
3 possible scenarios:
a) If neither of the 2 children has a locker, create an order by ticking the “family locker” option and selecting the two students using the locker. The keys will be issued under the same conditions as a new normal order.
b) If one of the 2 children already has a locker, the parents can change the existing order to a family locker order as long as the order is in “waiting to be processed” status. If the order is already in “pending payment” status, please send an e-mail to the locker manager with your request, specifying the name of the 2nd child. The key will be issued to the new arrival under the same conditions as a normal new order.
c) If 2 children already have an order for an individual locker and wish to share one of these lockers, please send an e-mail to the locker manager specifying the names of the 2 children concerned and the number of the locker they wish to keep. Students who give up their lockers will have to return the keys to the locker office.
Reminder: For all orders processed after the 1st day of school, all students must collect the key from the locker office.
Article 2 : Fees
New order: annual rental charge €28 + €30 deposit (see article 7).
Renewal (automatic renewal) : Annual rental charge 28€.
New family locker order: annual rental charge €28 + €60 deposit (€30/student).
These amounts are payable on receipt of the payment request message by bank transfer. Don't forget to mention structured communication.
Article 3 : Responsibility
When a locker is allocated :
- It is the student's responsibility to report any existing problems to the locker office.
During the entire period of locker use:
- Students are responsible for everything that happens in their locker and must report any tampering with the locker door to us immediately, so as not to be held responsible at a later date.
- Sharing a locker is forbidden (except in the case of the family locker option).
- Students may only use the locker allocated to them.
The lockers are the property of the APEEE services, which transfers their use to the students. Consequently, the service manager reserves the right to open the lockers, without prior notice to the student, in order to carry out repairs or maintenance work, or to check that the use of the locker complies with these rules. This will be done with due care and respect for the student's privacy.
APEEE Services declines all responsibility for any theft of valuables, break-ins or accidents that may occur.
If the contents of lockers are not removed during the vacations, and disappear, APEEE Services cannot be held responsible. The same applies to items left behind after a student has returned his or her locker.
Article 4: Proper use of lockers
Lockers are provided for students to store their school equipment and sportswear. As part of the proper use of lockers, students must :
- Keep their lockers clean and in good condition, and take care not to overload them;
- Do not leave perishable items (food) inside lockers;
- Empty their lockers before every school vacation.
- Notify the locker manager as soon as possible if they witness any acts of vandalism, damage or theft.
- Always lock their locker.
Graffiti, stickers or other objects on the inside or outside of lockers are strictly forbidden and will be systematically punished (see Article 8).
Article 5: Locker exchange
Locker exchange requests may only be submitted from November 1 to April 30 inclusive. Students wishing to exchange lockers must go to the locker office and obtain prior approval from the locker manager, who has the discretionary power to refuse the request without giving reasons.
The locker manager will keep an up-to-date list of students wishing to change locker and will try to put interested students in touch with each other, while respecting their privacy.
Article 6: Lost keys
In the event of key loss, a payment of €10 will be required for a new original key or cylinder change, if necessary. This payment will be made in cash at the locker service office.
Article 7: Refund of deposit
For students giving up the use of a locker or leaving the school, the full deposit will be refunded if :
- The refund form (duly completed) and the original locker key are handed in to the locker service office, no later than the last day of the student's attendance. If the key is not returned, €10 will be deducted from the total deposit.
- The locker has to be returned empty and clean. The locker service reserves the right to charge for any cleaning or repairs required.
